Love It: A Bridge of Hearts and Padlocks

This bridge in Cologne is one of the places east of the Atlantic where people bring padlocks to proof their love.

As a symbol for everlasting love couples, lovers and friends put the padlocks on the bridge and then, if they dare, throw the key in the river below. Some write their names on the padlocks. Some bring quite eccentric models of padlocks.

It’s no problem for the bridge, by the way, although those padlocks seem to be heavy all together…
