Viral Video Award 2011 – The winner videos here…

According to Wikipedia, “a viral video is one that becomes popular through the process of Internet sharing, typically through video sharing websites, social media and email. Viral videos often contain humorous content.” [source]

There are many of them out there on the world wide web. Every year, four the 4th time in 2011, within the International Short Film Festival Berlin, the best viral videos are honoured with an awar. The viral video award.

Yesterday this year’s winners were announced. Here we are:

The award for the best viral video in general goes to France. It’s called Aides Graffiti and contains some content that is recommended for people who are at least 18 years old. Topic: information to prevent AIDS.

Best political viral video: Standing Up For Freedom. It’s for the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International.

The award chosen by the audience is rather commercial. Darth Vader meets the German car company Volkswagen.

Two videos without any animated content were also mentioned. One about the Revoultion in Egypt and one about a bottle of lemonade that lights up (!) a house…
