Unique Micro-Art: Painter Wolfgang Herbold (Exclusive Video)

The transatlantic diablog met with German painter Wolfgang Herbold in his art studio. Herbold is mostly known for creating superb and unique micro- and macro-art. In the video below/after the jump he speaks about the inspiration and ideas behind his works of art and shows some of his pieces as well as his studio. Some photos there, too…


Herbold creates 3 dimensional paintings that turn to dioramas when you change the angle of looking at it. Some look like desert plains, some like towns watched from an aeroplane. Working in those tiny dimensions requires a lot of time and most of all self-control and concentration.
