It’s April 21st. Record Store Day.
Since major shops pushed back the small, intimate and personal CD stores, we have a Record Store Day. And so selected shops on both sides of the Atlantic don’t sell those nice digital files, they sell special Vinyl discs to promote the day.
Mostly limited editions. Sometimes only available only on the very day, and for sure only available in those shops who participate. For a full list of those special releases check out the website of the 5th Record Store Day.
There’s much more. Special acoustic in-store performances by bands… And you.
To celebrate the day, we ask you to tell, us if you went to a shop, where it was and especially what item you’ve bought.
Maybe a Vinyl by The Smiths bought at King Bee record shop in Manchester? Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr was there in February 2012 as you can see below.
