Today people in the United States have an expected life of 78.24 years – in average. According to the World Bank and in the year 2010. On the other side of the Atlantic in Germany the lifespan is around 79.99 years. At the moment the oldest man on earth is 115 years and 328 days old. It’s Jiroemon Kimura from Japan. The oldest woman is Misao Okawa. She’s also from Japan and 115 years and 8 days old. On number 3 and 4: Maria Redaelli-Granoli from Italy and Elsie Thompson from the United States (both 113 years).

The definition of the longest English word depends on your definition of word. The longest technical term is the chemical word of titin, the largest known protein. It has 189,819 letters. The longest word in a major dictionary is “Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis” – 45 letters.

THE LONGEST NFL FIELD GOAL
The longest field goal ever in the North American Football-League was by Tom Dempsey of the New Orleans Saints. Scored in 1970. 63 yards. The longest field goal attempt was by Sebastian Janikowski (Oakland Raiders) of 76 yards on September 28, 2008.
