VIDEO: The Cinema Show – Genesis live in 1976

It was 1975 when Peter Gabriel left the band Genesis. Looking for a new singer they found him among the band’s members. Drummer Phil Collins took over duties.

Bill Bruford and Chester Thompson now played the drums on stage with Collins joing them from time to time for longer instrumental parts. Something the British band was famous for. Founded in 1967 it also featured Mike Rutheford on guitars, Tony Banks and Steve Hackett in the original line-up.

Here’s Genesis’ rare 1976 concert film “The Cinema Show”. Watch it below and try to judge for yourself which current band sounds like Genesis – or vica versa!
