MOVIE: Muscle Shoals, Alabama – A new documentary highlights the studios that shaped popular Music

Muscle Shoals is the largest city in Colbert County, Alabama, United States. Since the 1960s the city has been famous for the “Muscle Shoals Sound” as local recording studios produced hit records that shaped the history of popular music.” – that’s how an author of the online-encyclopedia Wikipedia describes the town and its sound.

A new documentary now shows you the magic of the place where songs like “Brown Sugar” and “Wild Horses”, both by the rolling Stones, were recorded.

Artists, such as Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Percy Sledge, Greg Allman, Clarence Carter, Etta James, Alicia Keys and Bono, reveal their view on the studios and music history made there.
