Born in Athens in Athens in 1962, to a Greek father and a German mother, Papamichael’s family later went to the United States. Phedon Papamichael studied photography and art at the University of Munich, Germany where he received his Bachelor in Fine Arts in 1982.
Currently director, editor and author Alexandros Maragos from Athens sat down with Papamichael to talk about the early years of his career, his first films, shooting styles and about collaboration with Alexander Payne, George Clooney and James Mangold.
