KING OF MEMPHIS AND ROCK’N’ROLL: Elvis Aaron Presley – born 80 years ago (w. Videos)

He did the first globally broadcast concert via satellite. People from more than 40 countries world-wide were in front of their tellys watching “Aloha from Hawaii”. That was back in 1973. A comeback of sorts after Elvis Aaron Presley had not been on stage for more than twelve years.

“Aloha from Hawaii” was a triumphant return. After that six of Elvis’s songs entered the US-Top 40 charts. Four years later it was all over. Elvis, who was born in Tupelo, Mississippi, died at the age of 42. Leaving behind many songs, concerts, films as an actor and the status of a legend. And some mysterious stories about him being still alive.

On January 8, 2015, the world celebrates Elvis Aaron Presley’s birthday.

Below we have a selection of songs and videos from his career.
