PHOTOS IN INSTAGRAM FORMAT: German photographer Michèle Lichte captures architecture with her smart phone

Initially, I wanted to take photos with my camera.

Quite a few things are special in her art. German photographer Michèle Lichte only takes photos with her smart phone. That is still a mass phenomenon. But as a photographer prefering the little device to a digital single lens reflex camera is unique.

As unique as the angles of shooting Lichte uses for her photos. It is the look from the ground to the above. Mostly architecture. Mostly places of her hometown Bonn, in western Germany.

The most exciting was above me…,” Michéle Lichte reveals about her creative process.

To make it a full circle Lichte also uses Apps to work on color and style of her photos, and she only produces quadratic photos. Instagram format for the real world.

Here is our photo-report from Michèle Lichte’s most recent exhibition at PIXUM in Cologne.
