It’s a classic song. A classic for London punk band The Pogues. Founded in Kings Cross, a Central London district, in 1982, the group wrote and released “Fairytale of New York” in 1987. A Christmas song written by then band members Jem Finer and Shane MacGowan.

Produced by recording legends Elvis Costello and Steve Lillywhite and sung together with singer-songwriter Kirsty MacColl the track is also famous for its video. A video starring Matt Dillon, who said that he was the only one not drunk at the time of shooting…
